About Audrey

Among many things, I am a mother, artist, and a Childbirth Educator with Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, WA. My husband and I have been active members of the north Olympic Peninsula community since 2002.
Along with the support of my husband and sister, I had the valuable support of a doula for the birth of my daughter. It was a beautiful and amazing experience. After attending a friend's birth, I felt a strong calling to assist other women during their journey into motherhood. As such, birth support has become one of my passions.
I received my Doula training from Seattle Midwifery School and Childbirth Educator training from Great Starts of Parents Trust for Washington Children. I am working towards certification through DONA International and PALS Doulas. Additionally, I am a member of the La Leche League, a national breastfeeding support organization. December, 2009, I completed Lactation Management training through Lactation Education Resources. Learning and growing is an important element to my life as I continue to pursue advanced training and educational opportunities for the benefit of the individuals I serve.
Along with being a doula/childbirth educator, I am the owner of Rosehip Studio, art and illustration services. Through Rosehip Studio, you may select optional artistic services, such as belly casts, photography services, illustrated portraits, henna painting, decorated foot/hand prints of your baby, or commission your own unique project to help capture and celebrate this special time in your life.
