Doula Services

My doula services include:

An initial "meet and greet" free of charge or obligation to commit.
This gives you an opportunity to meet in person and to interview me before making a commitment to my services.
At least two prenatal visits where we discuss your birthing preferences, discuss any concerns you have about childbirth and parenting issues, and practice comfort techniques to be used in labor.
On call service, 24/7, for the month around your due date to respond to your early labor needs.
Consistent support during labor , beginning to end.
At least two postpartum visits to share insights and reflections about your birth experience, ensure you and your new baby are settling in and successfully nursing/feeding, answer questions about newborn care, and provide referrals if additional help is needed.

Fees

During my certification process, I am offering significantly discounted fees in exchange for written evaluations and permission to release the birth data to the certifying organizations. Normal fee will be "sliding-up" starting at $450. Births that will be used for certification qualifications will start at $150, and includes full doula service. You determine how much more you wish to pay based on the amount of time I spend with you, the level of satisfaction you have with the doula services, and your ability to pay.

I believe that every woman deserves extra support and tender loving care during childbirth, regardless of a person's ability to pay. If you are in need, please ask how to apply for further reduced or waived doula fees. Barter trades are also welcome.

There is no charge for an initial "meet and greet" consultation.
